First Annual Mango Scion Exchange!

To celebrate the beginning of scion season, Saturday, March 21, 2020, will be Mango Scion Exchange Day at Truly Tropical. If you would like to participate… Prepare some mango scions from known varieties of mangos (see How to Prepare Mango Scions video for information on how to prepare scions), Label the scions, and bring them to Truly Tropical on March 21 between 10am and 11am. It would be helpful to leave a Facebook comment on what varieties you will bring and what varieties you hope to trade for. This will increase the chance that someone else will bring the varieties you would like. Also, hopefully, it’ll decrease the chance that everyone brings the same varieties.

It seems that scions are taking about 2 weeks to be ready to graft after cutting off the leaves, so make sure you start the process by the first Saturday in March.

Scion Shipping

We plan to start shipping scions towards the end of March. We will announce on this website when the ordering is open.
